What are the conditions?

- You are setting up or investing in a Dutch company.
- You must invest at least €4,500 in your business.
- You register your business with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
- You are opening a business bank account in the Netherlands.
- You have sufficient financial resources to support yourself.
The investment of €4,500 must be held in a Dutch business bank account and must be demonstrably linked to your business. This amount must remain available for the duration of your permit.
What is the application process?
Applications for a DAFT residence permit are processed by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). You can submit your application whilst you are already in the Netherlands (within the 90-day visa-free period) or from the United States via the Dutch embassy or consulate.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive a residence permit which is usually valid for two years. You can then renew it, provided you still meet the conditions.
